We are thrilled to reflect on the success of the Writing Camp in Guadeloupe that took place in April 2025, by New W8ve (Montreal) for whom we intervened as Copyright administrator. This event fostered a powerful synergy between songwriters from the French-speaking Caribbean, the vibrant music scene of Montreal and producers form different parts of the world. Through creative exchanges and collaboration, participants from both regions were able to share unique perspectives and develop innovative music that bridges cultures. The camp proved to be a valuable platform for future collaborations, strengthening the connection between the Caribbean and Canadian music industries and paving the way for new international opportunities.

The talents invited were Hypnotik Beatz, Ray Da Prince, Nissa, Rosalvo, Lens Dupuy, Finvy, Still Nas, MadeInParis, Heaven Sam, Yu Meï, Ricky, Yend, YSN, Gihane and Marginal.

This Writing Camp in Guadeloupe was more than a creative retreat — it was a powerful space for artistic growth, cultural exchange, and collaborative energy. Surrounded by the island’s natural beauty, we found inspiration, connection, and a renewed commitment to our craft.

Amel, CEO of New W8ve

The camp not only resulted in the creation of outstanding songs but also laid the groundwork for lasting professional relationships between artists, producers, and songwriters from both Guadeloupe and Montreal. The sessions sparked a vibrant exchange of ideas, blending Caribbean rhythms with the distinct musical identity of Quebec, leading to fresh, innovative sounds.

Beyond the studio, the writing camp fostered a genuine cultural connection. Participants left inspired, with a shared sense of purpose and a collective desire to collaborate beyond borders. This first edition marks the beginning of a long-term vision to strengthen creative ties between both regions.
